Job Summary
We are seeking a apprentice Dry Liner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and finishing plasterboard in various construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The role requires a solid understanding of building structures and the ability to read and interpret schematics. A background in fabrication, electrical work, or roofing is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Install plasterboard on walls and ceilings with precision and care.
- Build and fabricate frameworks to support plasterboard installations.
- Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and aligned according to specifications.
- Use power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and fixing materials.
- Carry out painting and finishing work to achieve desired aesthetics.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to dry lining tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of plastering techniques is highly desirable.
- Experience in building, fabricating, electrical work, or roofing is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid health and safety certifications are preferred but not essential.
