Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals within their own homes for Aeon Nursing. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards. Duties
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers to promote independence
- Preparing and serving meals according to individual dietary requirements
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Light domestic duties including cleaning, laundry, and shopping errands
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns or changes in client condition
- Adhering to health and safety policies at all times to ensure client safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience in domiciliary or personal care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Reliable, punctual, and organised with good time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a care setting
- A valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory; access to reliable transport is preferred for home visits
