Excell Supply is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in schools across Ellesmere Port and the surrounding areas.

The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and physical needs.
- Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
