Job Title: Claims Assessor
Location: Winchester (office-based)
Salary: £22,500 – £23,750 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm)

Wessex Group is an independent provider of outsourced insurance service solutions for leading insurance companies and their intermediaries. We specialise in the administration of personal lines insurance and work for a number of major insurers.
We are now looking for a Claims Assessor for our office based in the centre of Winchester. We are a short walk from bus stops, the train station and the Park & Ride bus stop is located directly outside our office.

The Role
As a Claims Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting customers through their claims journey with empathy, professionalism, and accuracy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting customers at potentially distressing moments, communicating with clarity and compassion throughout their claims journey.
- Managing verbal and written communications with insurers, customers, brokers, doctors, employers, internal teams and third-party organisations to ensure claims are progressed efficiently and accurately.
- Delivering a high level of accuracy when assessing claims, ensuring validation procedures and Policy Terms and Conditions are interpreted and applied correctly.
- Providing timely and fair claims outcomes to customers.
