Reach Stacker Driver
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Reach Stacker Driver to operate heavy-duty container handling equipment within a busy port, rail yard, or logistics environment. The role involves safely operating a reach stacker to lift, move, transport, and stack shipping containers efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and operational performance.
A reach stacker is a specialist vehicle fitted with an extendable telescopic boom and overhead spreader attachment, designed to handle shipping containers, allowing them to be moved and stacked multiple rows deep and up to five containers high.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach stacker to load, unload, move, and stack containers.
- Position containers accurately within designated storage areas.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Follow all site safety procedures, operational rules, and health & safety requirements.
- Ensure all lifting operations are completed safely and efficiently.
- Work closely with warehouse, transport, and yard teams to support daily operations.
- Maintain accurate communication with supervisors and colleagues.
- Keep the work area clean, organised, and safe.
- Assist with general yard operations when required.
Requirements:
- Must be aged 18 or over.
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
- Must hold a valid Reach Stacker / Container Handler operator qualification.
- Required certification:
- G4 – ITSSAR-accredited Telescopic Container Handler (Reach Stacker) qualification.
- NPORS Reach Stacker / Container Handler qualification.
- Previous experience operating a reach stacker or similar heavy lifting equipment is preferred.
- Good understanding of safe lifting practices and site procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Environment:

Pay: From £27.00 per hour
