Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Joiner to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of joinery tasks across both occupied and void (unoccupied) tenanted properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and hang fire doors in compliance with current safety regulations and standards
- Carry out general joinery repairs and maintenance work
- Undertake basic multi-trade repairs as required (e.g., minor patching, adjustments, or fittings)
- Work effectively within occupied homes, maintaining professionalism and respect for tenants at all times
- Complete works in void properties to prepare them for new occupants
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and external contractors to deliver efficient maintenance services
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Accurately complete job records, reports, and documentation
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance joinery within a domestic or social housing environment
- Competence in fire door installation and compliance requirements
- Experience fitting kitchens, windows, and structural joinery elements such as stud walls
- Ability to carry out a range of general repairs and maintenance tasks
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working in tenants’ homes
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry and Joinery (required)
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Ability to pass relevant background checks if required
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support other trades when needed
Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
