Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Supervisor. As a Supervisor at Angus Steakhouse, you will play a key role in leading and inspiring our service team to deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure smooth operations during each shift. Responsibilities:
- Open and close the restaurant according to established procedures, including setting up and closing down equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organisation, and securing the premises
- Supervise and train front-of-house staff on proper service standards, including greeting and seating guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Give knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, utilising our point-of-sale system
- Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately to guests' tables
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth service flow
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to maximise revenue
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including POS systems and inventory management
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
