Care Check is one of the UK’s leading providers of DBS checks, Right to Work checks, Media checks, Digital Identity verification and Employment Screening. In short, we help organisations make sure they’re hiring the right people — and we do it well (our clients will happily tell you that).
We’re growing and are now looking for an additional Customer Service Representative / Counter-Signatory to join our friendly but fast-paced team in Evesham.
The role (aka what you’ll actually be doing)
No two days are the same here — which is great news if you like variety and mild chaos (the good kind).
You’ll be:
- Managing the day-to-day administration of DBS checks
- Explaining DBS legislation to clients in plain English (no legal dictionary required)
- Tracking applications and politely chasing police forces for updates
- Talking to existing and potential clients by phone, email, and chat
- Getting involved in different areas of the business as needed
Some callers will be calm. Some will be stressed. A few might be a bit grumpy. Your superpower will be staying professional, helpful, and unflappable — even before your second coffee.
About you (be honest… this might be you)
You’re organised, confident, and good with people. You can juggle tasks without dropping the important ones, and deadlines don’t make you panic (much).
You’ll need:
- Brilliant customer service skills and a confident phone manner
- Solid IT skills, including Excel, Word, and basic QuickBooks
- The ability to multitask, prioritise, and keep things moving
- Discretion — we handle sensitive information and take it seriously
- A sense of humour (essential), patience (also essential), and initiative (non-negotiable)
Don’t worry if you’re not an expert in DBS checks yet — we’ll teach you everything you need to know about:
- Electronic DBS systems
- DBS legislation
- Social Media checks
- Right to Work checks
The essentials
- GCSEs (Grades A–C / 9–4) including Maths and English
- Previous customer service and/or admin experience
- Reliability, honesty, and a genuine desire to do a good job
