Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Sports Therapist to join our dynamic team at the football club. The successful candidate will provide specialised treatment and rehabilitation services to players and active individuals, aiming to optimise physical performance, prevent injuries, and facilitate recovery. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of clients’ physical condition, injury history, and performance goals.
- Develop personalised treatment plans incorporating manual therapy, exercise programmes, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Deliver hands-on therapy including massage, mobilisation, and manipulation to aid recovery and enhance mobility.
- Monitor progress throughout treatment programmes and adjust approaches accordingly.
- Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, proper technique, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with coaches, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and progress notes in compliance with professional standards.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in sports therapy practices and contribute to ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- recognised qualification in Sports Therapy or equivalent (e.g., BSc in Sports Therapy or similar).
- Proven experience working with athletes or active populations is desirable.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and injury management.
- Excellent manual therapy skills combined with effective communication abilities.
- Ability to motivate clients and foster a positive environment for recovery.
- Professional registration with relevant governing bodies (e.g., Society of Sports Therapists) is preferred but not essential.
- A proactive approach to learning and continuous professional development.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings or weekends if required.
Pay: £85.00-£140.00 per week
