Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancer to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property transactions from Enquiries to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient conveyancing processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to client service. The Residential Conveyancer will play a vital role in facilitating property sales and purchases, maintaining compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional support to clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Duties
- Manage a caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
- Draft and review legal documentation such as contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.
- Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely progression of transactions.
- Conduct property searches, enquiries, and due diligence to identify potential issues early in the process.
- Ensure all transactions comply with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Keep accurate records of case progress and maintain organised case files both electronically and physically.
- Provide clear advice to clients regarding legal procedures and requirements related to residential conveyancing.
- Manage deadlines efficiently to ensure completion within agreed timescales.
- Assist in the development of departmental procedures to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential conveyancing within a legal environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients and professional partners.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with case management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and compliance with legal standards.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant legal qualifications or certification in conveyancing or law is desirable but not essential.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
