Life Skills Support Worker
Location: Brigg, North Lincolnshire
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour PAYE | £22.85 per hour Umbrella

Hours: 28 hours per week (Evening Shifts)
Seven Resourcing is seeking compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Support Workers to support a 17-year-old young person living in supported accommodation in Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
This rewarding temporary role focuses on helping a young person develop the confidence, independence, and practical life skills needed to transition successfully into adulthood. You'll provide consistent support in a safe environment, encourage positive daily routines, and help build connections within the local community to promote independence and reduce risk.
To provide continuity of care, multiple support workers will be appointed to work on a rota basis.
Shift Pattern
- Primary shifts: 6:00pm – 10:00pm, 7 days per week
- 28 hours per week
- Occasional weekend shifts (approximately 11:00am – 2:00pm) may also be available, subject to service requirements.
- Immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support within supported accommodation.
- Promote independence by developing practical life skills and daily living abilities.
- Encourage engagement in positive activities, education, and the local community.
- Build trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Support the young person's safety, wellbeing, and emotional resilience.
- Assist with achieving individual goals and promoting self-sufficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the wider support team.
- Respond appropriately to changing needs and contribute to a consistent support plan.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable individuals within health, social care, supported accommodation, or community settings.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a rota-based team.
- Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
