Balfour Beatty are recruiting for the Sizewell C MEH Alliance. We are seeking an exceptional Head of Electrical Programme Delivery to lead the successful delivery of the Electrical discipline across one of the UK's largest and most complex nuclear infrastructure programmes.
This is a rare leadership opportunity to shape the future of clean energy, taking full accountability for the end-to-end delivery of a major Electrical programme spanning engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Deputy Alliance Director, you will provide strategic leadership across the Electrical programme, ensuring safe, efficient and successful delivery of scope to agreed cost, schedule and quality targets.
You'll lead a team of senior project professionals while driving collaboration across engineering, commercial, project controls, quality, legal and supply chain functions.
This role offers significant influence across the Sizewell C programme and requires a leader who can confidently navigate complex challenges, make critical decisions and build lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Electrical programme, including engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation activities.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing team of Senior Project Managers and programme professionals.
- Define and implement programme execution strategies, governance arrangements and delivery plans.
- Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
- Foster a collaborative culture across multidisciplinary teams and alliance partners.
- Manage supplier relationships and act as a senior escalation point to ensure successful outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency and next-of-a-kind improvements.
- Resolve programme interfaces, risks and delivery challenges across complex workstreams.
- Lead governance reviews and provide regular performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across Sizewell C, alliance partners and external organisations.
Who we're looking for
- Proven experience leading large, complex programmes within major infrastructure environments.
- Track record of delivering successfully within highly regulated and safety-critical sectors.
- Extensive experience of EPCC delivery models and managing complex supply chains.
- Experience managing large teams of senior programme and project professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing cost, risk, change and performance at scale.
- Ability to influence and operate effectively at senior leadership and executive level.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Able to obtain a security clearance
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction, Physics or a related discipline.
- Chartered status in a relevant professional institution.
We are particularly interested in candidates from:
- Nuclear new build, nuclear operations or decommissioning.
- Major energy infrastructure programmes.
- Offshore wind and power generation projects.
- Large transport and rail programmes.
- Defence infrastructure and complex systems environments.
- Oil & Gas megaprojects within EPCC delivery models.
Experience on projects such as Hinkley Point C, Sellafield, HS2, Crossrail, National Grid or equivalent large-scale programmes would be highly advantageous.
