Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital environments. This role involves managing cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained, and coordinating daily operations to support a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures aligned with organisational standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train new staff on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and organisational policies.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with management to address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and equipment maintenance.
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial services, or hospital housekeeping roles.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position within the cleaning industry is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene.
- Good communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst managing a team effectively.
