Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Family Support Worker to join our team. This role is vital in providing assistance and guidance to families, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to thrive. The role involves monitoring CCTV throughout the night and ensuring parents attend to their children's needs.
Duties
- Provide emotional and practical support to families in need, helping them navigate challenges and access resources.
- Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs of families, developing tailored support plans.
- Facilitate communication between families and relevant agencies or services, ensuring a collaborative approach to support.
- Monitor progress and provide ongoing support, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Advocate for families within the community, promoting their rights and access to services.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is essential, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and development.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with families and professionals alike.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of families.

- DBS check required.
- Drivers license is desirable.
