Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team in Newry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial premises. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces
- Clean and sanitise washrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet hygiene standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning routines
- Ensure all areas are kept tidy and presentable throughout the working shift
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
