Newark Care are looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join our dedicated team of staff at Burnfield Care Home in Giffnock, Glasgow.
Position:
- 37.5 hours per week (any 3 days out of 7 days as per rota)
- 12.5 hours per day
- Paid breaks
- Day shift
Job role:
The Staff Nurse is a key member of the management team and should be able to stand in for the Senior Staff Nurse if required. They should assist the Senior Staff Nurse to set and monitor standards of care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them.
Duties:
To take charge of the operation where required ensuring all shifts are covered, supervision and training of staff. Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care.
Experience:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organisation and record keeping and the ability to prioritise your workload. Confidence in all areas of care planning and delivery as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Experience in care for older adults and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous for the role.
Qualifications:
Current NMC registration is necessary and a PVG check applies to the role. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in English.
Ensure that you comply with the laws governing the care sector and knowledge of National Standards and NMC code of practice.
