Therapeutic Support Worker – SEMH Children’s Home – Hampshire
Salary: From £28,000 per year (including 1 sleep-ins a week!)

What you’ll do:
- Provide high-quality, hands-on care and support to children with SEMH needs.
- Create a safe, positive, and structured home environment.
- Help children develop life skills, independence, and confidence through educational, social, and leisure activities.
- Implement individual care plans, therapeutic strategies, and risk assessments.
- Work closely with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
- Respond calmly and supportively to challenging behaviours using therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain accurate records while upholding safeguarding standards.
- Support children in understanding and managing their emotions and trauma.
What we’re looking for:
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people, especially those with SEMH needs.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience when supporting children with complex behaviours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in a residential or SEMH setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (or willingness to work towards it).
