We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team and deliver high-quality communal garden maintenance services for clients in Ruislip and surrounding areas.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role requiring applicants to be physically fit and capable of working in all weather conditions. If you take pride in outdoor work and enjoy working as part of a team, we would like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities

Follow scheduled routes and complete all allocated tasks efficiently and to a high standard

Operate ride-on mowers, rotary mowers, strimmers, and other landscaping equipment

Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, and general grounds maintenance

Apply weed control treatments and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and planted areas

Perform litter picking and ensure all sites are clean, tidy, and presentable
-
Sweep pathways and remove debris following maintenance works

Carry out seasonal maintenance including planting and shrub care

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a safe and clean condition

Follow all Health & Safety procedures including COSHH and PPE requirements

Report any site issues, incidents, or hazards to supervisors promptly
Responsibilities Include

Conducting daily vehicle checks (oil, tyres, and general condition)

Completing basic risk assessments before starting work

Ensuring correct use of signage and safety cones on-site

Communicating effectively with office and management teams

Supporting accurate reporting of completed works and job updates
Required Skills & Qualifications

Physically fit and able to carry out manual outdoor work in all weather conditions

Previous experience in grounds maintenance (preferred but not essential)

Full UK manual driving licence (essential)

Must be over 21 years old (insurance purposes)

Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude

Eligible to live and work in the UK
Working Hours & Pay
-
Full-time role (37.5 hours per week)
-
Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour shifts
-
Occasional Saturday overtime available

Salary starting from £13.15 per hour (depending on experience)
