Financial Reconciliation Support Officer
Shrewsbury / Hybrid Working | 12-Week Contract
Grade 6 – £13.90 per hour | 37 hours per week
Recruiting on behalf of our client, we are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Financial Reconciliation Support Officer to join a busy public sector team.
This role would suit someone with finance or administrative experience who enjoys working with data, resolving queries, and supporting financial processes within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and reconciling financial and commissioned care service information
- Maintaining accurate financial records and updating internal systems
- Monitoring mailboxes and responding to finance-related queries
- Investigating discrepancies and supporting compliance procedures
- Producing and maintaining accurate spreadsheets and working documents
- Liaising with internal teams and external providers to support service delivery
About You
- Previous experience in a finance, reconciliation, or administration environment
- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and work independently
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) required
