Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen environment, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and support for our chefs and service staff. Duties
- Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Supporting chefs with ingredient organisation and stock replenishment.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Helping with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods.
- Maintaining a tidy workspace throughout shifts to promote a safe working environment.
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary items or assistance.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations.
- Good organisational skills and reliability.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
