Working closely with the Chief Finance Officer, you will provide high-quality financial management, reporting and business partnering across designated academies, helping leaders make informed decisions that support excellent educational outcomes.
About the role
As Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for leading the finance function for your designated academies, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and effective budget management. You will work collaboratively with Headteachers, senior leaders and budget holders, providing expert financial advice and challenge while supporting the Trust's commitment to delivering value for money.
The role offers a varied workload, including:

Developing strong relationships across the Trust as a trusted finance business partner.
About you
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical financial knowledge with excellent interpersonal skills. You will be confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and able to explain complex financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
You will ideally have:
Membership of a recognised professional accountancy body (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA), or be part-qualified and working towards qualification.
Significant experience in financial management, budgeting and financial reporting.
Experience of producing management accounts and financial analysis.
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong IT skills and experience using financial management systems.
Experience within the education sector, academies or multi-academy trusts would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience from other sectors.
