Plater / Fabricator - Cambridgeshire - NAECI Blue Book - £23.45 - £42.21 per hour
IMMEDIATE STARTS
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plater / Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This role will involve working on a range of fabrication projects, producing high-quality plate and structural steelwork in line with engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
- Marking out, cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
- Carrying out MIG / TIG / MMA welding
- Fabricating structural steelwork, plate, and pipework
- Performing quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
- Working safely and efficiently within workshop or site environments
About You
- Proven experience as a Plater / Fabricator / Welder
- Able to read and work from technical drawings
- Competent in welding processes (MIG, TIG, or MMA)
- Experience working with carbon and/or stainless steel
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety conscious
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication & Welding (or equivalent)
- Apprenticeship-trained
- CSCS / CCNSG Safety Passport
- Experience in heavy industry (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Engineering)

Pay: £23.45-£42.21 per hour
