SEN Teaching Assistant – Runcorn

Are you a caring, patient and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? Excell Supply is currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Runcorn, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to positively impact children's educational journeys while gaining valuable experience in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
- Support classroom learning and encourage pupil engagement
- Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, empathetic and positive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
