Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Tutor to support students in developing their understanding of scientific concepts across various age groups. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and help students achieve their academic goals. Duties
- Deliver personalised tutoring sessions in science subjects, including physics, chemistry, and biology, tailored to individual student needs.
- Prepare lesson plans and educational materials that align with curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Support students with homework, exam preparation, and understanding complex scientific concepts.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to boost student confidence and motivation.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
- Incorporate engaging teaching methods and utilise educational resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain organised records of tutoring sessions and student achievements.
Experience
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching science subjects at various levels.
- Experience working with children or young learners is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Previous experience in a classroom or one-on-one tutoring setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for education is essential.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
