Job role: Field Service Engineer (Mechanical Air Compressor)
Location: Cwmbran (working onsite around south Wales)
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.00am – 3.00pm, Occasional overtime when required paid at time and half (must be comfortable being on call once a month paid extra)
Salary: £34,000 a year but this doesnt include overtime or on call rate
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer working in the Air Compressor industry, where you will be maintaining, servicing, fixing and installing Air compressor systems.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of industrial air compressors and compressed air systems across customer sites. This role combines technical expertise with customer interaction, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Duties
- Service, repair, and maintain air compressors, dryers, and associated equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown response
- Install and commission new air systems
- Provide technical support and advice to customers
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- You should have a good mechanical & electrical knowledge and be able to diagnose faults
- Knowledge of the Compressed Air industry is an advantage
- Experience as a Mechanic or someone with technical skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Full training is provided
