Green Street Butchers is looking for a dedicated, service-driven individual to join our team in Bath. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about quality food, excellent customer service, and maintaining exceptionally high standards.
As the face of the shop, you will help bridge the gap between traditional butchery and premium food service, ensuring every customer receives a warm, professional, and personalised experience.
The Role
You will support the management team in delivering outstanding hot food, coffee, and retail operations across the shop.
Cooking & Food Preparation
- Preparing and roasting meats to Green Street standards for breakfast and lunch service
- Supporting light butchery tasks when required
- Maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation across all food items
- Assisting with sandwich preparation and hot food service
Customer Experience & Service
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Green Street in every customer interaction
- Running the hot food section with confidence and efficiency
- Preparing high-quality coffee and delivering excellent service standards
- Processing customer orders accurately and managing expectations around wait times
- Handling customer feedback professionally and positively
Operational Standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient working environment
- Following food safety, hygiene, and compliance procedures at all times
- Completing dishwasher rotation and deep-clean schedules
- Supporting a positive and collaborative team culture
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who takes pride in detail, consistency, and presentation. Whether you are rolling pork belly, preparing sandwiches, or pulling espresso shots, you should care deeply about quality and customer experience.
You will ideally be:
- Organised and efficient under pressure
- Passionate about food and hospitality
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- Reliable with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Eager to learn and develop within the business
Experience in hospitality, food preparation, coffee service, or butchery is beneficial, but attitude and work ethic are equally important.
