Job Description
We are seeking a flexible and reliable full time Delivery Driver to join our busy Cellar Gas and Soft Drink Dispense Company.
You will deliver gas cylinders and related products to customers across your route. The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, manage a varied workload, and provide a high level of customer service.
Full on-the-job training will be provided to specialise in the equipment used by the company.
Key Responsibilities Delivery & Logistics
- Deliver gas cylinders, post-mix, and related products to customers safely and efficiently (typically 15–20 customers per day).
- Load and unload the vehicle daily, ensuring products match delivery notes.
- Complete light administration such as Vehicle Defect Forms and delivery logs.
- Handle products safely, following manual handling and company procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service at every delivery, representing the company professionally.
Operational Support
- Liaise with the Operations Manager to plan efficient routes and schedules.
- Ensure the company vehicle is clean, safe, and roadworthy at all times.
- Report any vehicle faults, delivery issues, or customer concerns promptly.
- Assist in the warehouse or with deliveries during busy periods as required.
Health & Safety
- Follow all company health & safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct on-site risk assessments before delivering at new customer sites.
- Adhere to DVSA regulations, driver hours, and transport legislation.
- Use and maintain PPE appropriately.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, adaptable, and professional attitude.
- Basic IT skills (use of digital forms).
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (up to 7.5 tonnes).
- Ability to manage physical tasks, including manual handling.
- Positive, proactive approach and ability to adapt to changing daily tasks.
Desirable
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Up-to-date CPC training.
- Forklift Truck licence or willingness to train.
- Delivery or logistics experience.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive, dependent on experience and negotiable.
· Plus, driver’s incentive scheme which is paid quarterly and equates to approximately £2,000 a year.
