This is an exciting opportunity in Norfolk Residential Children’s Homes providing emergency and time limited, specialist care for young people (male and female) aged between 8 - 17 years, when either family, foster care, mainstream residential or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.
As a Level 3 Residential Children’s Practitioner , you will be expected to s hare specialist knowledge and experience in the induction of casual and new staff members. Provide supervision sessions and mentoring for team members within the home and be a positive role model for less experienced staff and providing feedback to management on opportunities and concerns. You will also be expected to d eputise for the management team when working as part of the manager on call rota. The working week will be split between sleep in shifts and office days dependent on the needs of the home.
You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who endeavour to make significant changes in young people’s lives.
To work within this environment, you will need to be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people. You will need to be reliable, have good personal relationship and communication skills as well as high professional standards. A background in residential care is desirable, previous work with young people is essential. A full driving licence is required for this post.
