CaterCater are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic School Cook Manager to join the team in Hereford.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys cooking fresh, healthy meals, works well with others, and is looking for a great work-life balance around family life.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:15am – 1:45pm, term time only.
The role involves:
- Running the day-to-day kitchen operation
- Preparing tasty and nutritious meals for our schools
- Using an online ordering system and managing deliveries
- Using the ParentPay system to manage meal numbers
- Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and running smoothly
- Managing stock and labour costs responsibly
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, HACCP and allergen awareness
- Supporting and encouraging the kitchen team in a positive and friendly way
We’re looking for someone with previous experience as a cook, ideally within a school or busy kitchen environment, who enjoys cooking and takes pride in preparing good food. The ideal candidate will be positive, reliable, approachable and confident working in a busy kitchen. A good understanding of food hygiene, HACCP, kitchen safety and allergies is important, along with being organised and able to manage responsibilities well.
