Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse to join our busy dental practice in Stafford. This role is specifically for evening and weekend shifts, providing essential support to our dental team and ensuring excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be organised, communicative, and passionate about delivering high standards of service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Providing patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems
- Supporting reception staff with appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Ensuring the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer any questions they may have
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care
- Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently during evening and weekend shifts
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and patient needs
