Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Previous restaurant experience and a passion for hospitality are highly valued. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with food preparation and organise tables for incoming guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, counters, and stations
- Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods with excellent time management skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Basic maths skills for processing bills and payments accurately
- Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen experience is advantageous
- Strong guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy shifts
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
- Must have legal right to work in the UK
- Willing to work evenings, weekends & holidays
