Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused person to join our team at Kitty's. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within the hospitality industry and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
Hours to be discussed but looking for someone 2 to 3 days a week all year round.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
- Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till system efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and surrounding workspace
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Restock supplies and ensure the counter is presentable throughout shifts
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or restaurant environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and transactions accurately
- Previous serving experience is advantageous
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Organised with attention to detail, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained at all times
