Senior Technical Project Manager (Lighting)
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire (Hybrid after 6 months)
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits

They are growing, and looking for an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager with a strong lighting background to lead the successful delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering some of our client's most exciting projects.
Combining technical expertise, commercial awareness and strong leadership skills, you'll oversee the planning, design and execution of projects involving lighting, audio, video and scenic technologies.
While your specialist knowledge will be rooted in lighting design and systems, you'll work closely across all technical disciplines to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional client experiences.
You'll be responsible for building trusted client relationships, leading project teams, managing budgets and maintaining the high standards of creativity and excellence that define our client.
Key Responsibilities Client & Project Leadership
- Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Interpret project briefs and identify client objectives
- Provide expert technical guidance and creative solutions
- Produce accurate quotations, proposals and project documentation
- Manage project budgets, timelines and resources
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standard
Technical Delivery
- Lead the design and implementation of lighting systems across a range of live events and installations
- Develop technical specifications, drawings and equipment schedules
- Collaborate with audio, video and scenic teams to create integrated technical solutions
- Oversee onsite delivery, commissioning and project handover
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry best practice
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop technical teams across multiple projects
- Mentor colleagues and share technical expertise
- Delegate effectively and provide clear direction
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
- Support the development of emerging talent within the business
About You
You'll be an experienced project leader who combines technical expertise with exceptional communication and organisational skills.
Essential
- 2+ years' experience delivering technical production projects within live events
- Strong lighting design and technical systems knowledge
- Proven experience managing client relationships
- Demonstrable project management experience from concept to delivery
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Desirable
- Experience across audio, video and scenic disciplines
- CAD and visualisation software experience
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Relevant industry qualifications

Additional Information
Location: Borehamwood (25 minutes from Central London)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. Due to the nature of live events, flexibility outside core hours will occasionally be required.
Hybrid Working: Following successful completion of six months' service, employees can benefit from a hybrid working arrangement of three office days and two remote days per week.
Holiday: 30 days including Bank Holidays
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
