Serendipity Healthcare Ltd is a family run business founded in 2009, with the belief that people needing care are happiest in the comfort of their own homes. We currently have our head office based in Chesterfield for core for clients in North and South Derbyshire.
We are seeking an On-call Assistant Manager to join our team. Working hours are as follows:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 5pm to 11pm and Sunday 2pm to 11pm (24 Hours)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday - 5pm to 11pm (18 Hours)

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities
- To assist the Registered Manager to efficiently manage the running of the business during on-call hours.
- Provide leadership to ensure staff members are clear about their respective duties and responsibilities and have the support they need to carry out their roles safely.
- To offer support and guidance to Team Leaders, Care Team and Service Users, as part of the 'On-call' duties as and when required.
- Monitor the activities of the team, dealing with any concerns within the scope of competence.
- Monitor alerts and escalate concerns to the appropriate healthcare professional or manager.
- Work in collaboration with the accounts department to confirm details of increases or decreases to agreed packages of care.
- To monitor and rectify any issues raised.
- Manage your own personal development and take part in any training required to stay current in your role.
- Work with others to cover calls within your remit.
- Update company IT systems with relevant Service User information.
- Provide out of hours emergency assistance participating in the on call rota.
- Support & facilitate the growth of the company in all aspects of the role.
- Support Team leaders with service user reviews and assessments as necessary and to offer guidance and advice.
What we require from you
- Experience of supervisory management in the care provision sector
- Experience of customer care / handling complaints / problem solving
- Experience of care services, risk assessments and person centred care
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Able to muti-task and manage difficult situations calmly and effectively
- Able to motivate, lead and inspire team members
- Knowledge of general IT systems such as Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and recognising abuse
- Knowledge of electronic Care Planning systems
