Vehicle Smart Repair Technician
Location: Thurleigh, Bedfordshire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 07:00-17:00
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Work
We are looking for Smart Repair Technicians to join our client’s modern, high-standard bodyshop in Thurleigh. You will work within an experienced team, producing high-quality cosmetic repairs and ensuring all vehicles meet customer standards. This role is ideal for someone with previous SMART, Quickfix or bodyshop repair experience looking for a long-term opportunity.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Smart Repair Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Polishing newly painted panels to remove imperfections and achieve a high-quality finish
- Carrying out windscreen, plastic, and interior repairs
- Removing scratches and correcting minor paint defects
- Completing leather and trim repairs where required
- Undertaking cosmetic repairs to vehicle panels and components
- Ensuring all job cards and documentation are completed accurately
- Working to company quality standards and repair procedures
- Managing workloads effectively to maintain workshop productivity
- Supporting junior technicians when required
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Smart Repair Technician, Bodyshop Technician, or similar automotive role
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
- Able to work independently and confidently carry out cosmetic vehicle repairs
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Passionate about the automotive industry and delivering excellent results
