Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead electrical design projects across a variety of construction and civil engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical schematics, CAD software, and construction processes, with a keen eye for detail and innovative problem-solving skills. Duties
- Lead the development of detailed electrical schematics and design layouts using industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, Electrical OEM
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs within larger civil and structural frameworks.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and construction drawings aligned with project requirements.
- Assist in the coordination of design reviews, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Support construction teams during project execution by providing technical guidance and resolving design-related issues on-site.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate best practices into project workflows to optimise efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical design within the construction or civil engineering sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and their application in construction projects.
- Knowledge of construction processes and standards relevant to electrical systems installation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- A recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
