Duties
- Offer personalised support tailored to individual needs, promoting independence and confidence.
- Engage in mentoring activities to encourage personal growth and development.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support vulnerable adults through educational activities, play, and behavioural guidance.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made.
- Collaborate with families, carers, or other professionals to ensure consistent support strategies are applied.
Requirements
- Experience or interest in working with vulnerable adults is strongly preferred.
- Strong mentoring skills with a caring and empathetic approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build trusting relationships.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in social care is essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including some evenings, nights or weekends if necessary.
