Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our community by collecting a wide range of items efficiently and safely. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
- Collect refuse and recyclable materials along with various other items from residential and commercial properties
- Perform heavy lifting of various items including bulky items, furniture etc ensuring proper handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Conduct routine inspections of collection vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the vehicle and collection equipment.
- Engage positively with the customers and public, providing information about waste disposal practices when required.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring personal safety as well as that of colleagues and the public.
- Strong physical fitness is required due to the demands of heavy lifting throughout the shift.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is preferred
- A valid uk driving licence is necessary for operating vehicle. 2 years driving is a must. 25+ ONLY due to insurance
- Ideally no fears or allergies due to the nature of the business we come across a wide range of things, contamination and wildlife to be expected
- Must be flexible on working hours start times can vary from 5am-9am work till finish
- We do a wide range of waste and clearances the good the bad and the darn right ugle
- Must be happy working alone or in a team
This isn't a job for everyone we are a very small business this role is more a commitment than a job looking for some to stay with us till death do us part someone to grow with the business
Covering anything from a single bin empty, standard house clearances, to mutie loads of flytip clean up
We travel up and down the country at times so long drives are a high possibility

Bad bits it can be a very dirty stinky job some days can be tough especially with the weather

Occasionally we work in tight spaces
We require someone to work as required, until demand reaches a full time position,
to start we can guarantee 16 hours. work may often be offered at short notice as jobs come in last minute, hours may fluctuate between 16 and 40+ hours a week.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
