Overtime Rate: £23.33 per hour after 45 hours
Monday to Friday | 07:00am – 17:15pm

Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading company within the waste and recycling sector, for an experienced HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver based in South Kirkby.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business offering regular hours, overtime opportunities and long-term career prospects.
As an HGV Class 2 RoRo Driver, you will be responsible for the safe collection, transportation and delivery of waste materials using Roll-On Roll-Off vehicles. This is a single-person operation, therefore some manual handling will be required as part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 RoRo vehicles in accordance with road traffic and company regulations.
- Collect and transport waste materials to designated disposal and recycling facilities.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Follow all health & safety, environmental and waste management regulations.
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Driver CPC Qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- RoRo experience is preferred but not essential as training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach.
