The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across our freight forwarding services.
This is a sales-led role focused on winning new clients and developing long-term commercial relationships. While no specific freight mode is required, ocean or air freight forwarding experience is strongly preferred, as you will be expected to understand and sell integrated logistics solutions.
In addition to new business development, you will manage and grow key accounts, support quoting and pricing, and work closely with operations to ensure profitable and scalable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business within freight forwarding
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of profitable clients
- Retain and grow key existing accounts
- Support quoting, pricing, and margin control
- Work closely with operations to ensure service quality and efficiency
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and expand accounts
- Represent the business commercially with credibility and professionalism
Essential Experience & Requirements
- Proven sales experience within a freight forwarding company
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on margins and sustainable growth
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Highly Desirable (Bonus)
- Ocean or air freight forwarding experience
- Customs clearance knowledge
- CargoWise experience
- Additional languages
