Market Trader – Italian Food Markets (Own Car Required)
Mangiando Calabro is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Market Sales Assistant to join our team selling authentic Italian and Calabrian products at farmers markets and food markets across Greater Manchester.
IMPORTANT – Please only apply if you meet ALL of the following requirements:
✅ You have your own car and a full UK driving licence
✅ You are available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
✅ You have previous sales, retail or customer service experience
✅ You enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
✅ You are confident speaking to customers and promoting products
About the role:
- Setting up and packing down the market stall
- Selling Italian food products directly to customers
- Taking card and cash payments
- Offering samples and engaging with customers
- Keeping the stall clean, organised and well presented
- Travelling to different market locations
Training Period:
Successful candidates will complete a paid one-month training period, working alongside experienced team members to learn about our products, sales approach, customer service standards, and market operations. Following successful completion of the training, you will be expected to run market stalls independently.
Working hours:
- Mainly Saturdays and Sundays
- Typical hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Additional weekday hours may be available

We are a growing independent Italian business and are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, working outdoors and being part of a friendly team. After the training period, there will be opportunities for additional hours and increased responsibility within the business.

Pay: £101.00-£170.00 per day
