Driver Require are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for our client based in Tamworth.
Ongoing work - Monday to Friday
Start times between 4:00 to 06:00
HGV Class 2 Driver Rate (inc. holiday pay):
- Weekday - £15.00 p/h
- Weekend - £16.50 p/h
- Night out - £25.00
HGV Class 2 Driver role will include:
- Carrying out daily checks on the vehicle you are assigned for a job.
- Completing minor repairs to the vehicles where necessary and appropriate to do so.
- Reporting any damage, defects, or wear-and-tear to the Transport Team
- Ensuring the load is strapped down
- Driving a Class 2 Lorry to and from their customer locations
- Multi drop (up to10 drops)
- Handballing required - no dirty work
- Liaising with Customers
- Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
- Effectively managing your driving time so that you don’t acquire infringements.
- Nights out maybe needed
HGV Class 2 Driver requirements:
- Must have 12 months HGV Class 2 Driver experience
- Strapping and loading experience needed
- Be mindful of the vehicles when driving to customer eg fitting into tight spaces
- Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's)
