Supersede Recruitment are proud to be supporting a leading food manufacturing business in the search for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join their engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a large-scale, highly automated manufacturing site that continues to invest heavily in its people, technology and production capabilities. Operating from a modern, high-specification facility, you'll play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, driving reliability and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of automated food manufacturing and packaging equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance activities across the site
- Diagnosing and resolving equipment faults to minimise downtime
- Supporting preventative maintenance schedules and asset care programmes
- Working on conveyors, packaging machinery, processing equipment and automated production lines
- Fault finding on PLC-controlled systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
- Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades and commissioning activities
- Ensuring all engineering activities are completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent)
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Experience working within food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, pharmaceutical or high-volume production environments
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery and automated equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to engineering challenges
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
