What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Multi-Trade Operative, you’ll carry out a wide variety of tasks to diagnose and repair damage caused by damp, mould, leaks, and structural disrepair. You’ll be working in residential properties, often in occupied homes, and must be confident delivering pre-paint repairs, minor plumbing, glazing, carpentry, and tiling, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Conducting internal repairs related to damp and mould, including surface treatments and material replacement
- Carrying out complex patch plastering, drylining, UPVC repairs, and minor plumbing/drainage fixes
- Snagging and finishing work to a professional standard
- Collaborating with tenants, clients, and internal teams to deliver a positive customer experience
- Working safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and PPE requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a multi-trade role
- Proven experience in complex repairs, planned works, and disrepair jobs
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in each of the following; Basic plumbing and drainage, Carpentry, Glazing, Ceramic tiling, Drylining/plasterboard
- At least 1 year’s wet trade plastering (preferred)
- Able to confidently fix and adjust UPVC windows and doors
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in social housing environments
- At least 3 years’ painting experience
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to snag own work
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working at height and using a variety of tools
- Own essential tools and a strong work ethic
- Valid CSCS card and full PPE compliance
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 or other industry-relevant qualification
- Previous experience with damp and mould repairs specifically
- Familiarity with handheld devices for reporting and job tracking
