The role:
We're looking for a Seed Laboratory Assistant to join our team during our busy seasonal period. In this role, you'll support the quality control of seed within our laboratory, helping to ensure Agrii and Ministry standards are met through accurate testing, sampling and record keeping.
What you'll do:
- Carry out quality control testing on seed samples in line with Agrii and Ministry standards.
- Collect seed samples from incoming lorry deliveries for laboratory testing.
- Accurately record and input laboratory data onto our computer systems.
- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Seed Laboratory during the busy season.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation and attention to detail when handling samples and recording results.
- Follow all laboratory procedures and health and safety requirements to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
What we're looking for:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills and confidence using computer-based systems to record information.
- A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to adapt to seasonal workload demands
Pay: £12.71 per hour
