We are thrilled to announce that a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway as a Support, Time and Recovery (STR) worker for REVIVE, the Intensive Intervention and Risk Management Service (IIRMS) in Lancashire.
The service is jointly commissioned by His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and the National Health Service (NHS) and is delivered via a joint service model that includes Health and HMPPS partners. It is complemented by further partnership work with third sector organisations across the locality
REVIVE IIRMS is a community-based intervention and risk management service that complements, enhances and works with existing OPD pathway provision in Lancashire; it operates as part of a tiered approach to supporting HMPPS in their management of people who present with high risk and complex needs, and who screen into the OPD pathway.
Those suitable for the service will present with primary needs associated with relational/interpersonal difficulties, will have significant resettlement/transition needs, they may be institutionalised and/or may lack social/familial support.
Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance and Enhanced HMPPS vetting.
The post holder is required to use relational, trauma informed approaches to provide a range of direct and indirect support to service users on the REVIVE IIRMS caseload.
This support will be delivered in keeping with the service users individual needs and formulation, as directed by Specialist Health and Probation Practitioners within the team, with oversight from the Clinical Lead.
A key component of the role is the ability to develop trusting, therapeutic and professional relationships with service users who have complex needs, struggle interpersonally and can experience a range of challenges that impact this.
The role requires the postholder to work alongside other agencies/services (e.g. voluntary/third sector providers) to enable service users on the caseload to access community resources, increase their social capitol and manage the different transitions that they have to face.
