Waking Night Complex Care Healthcare Assistant
Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Pay: £14.00 – £22.00 per hour
Hours: 9:00pm–7:00am, one weekday night per week (ad-hoc)
Contract: Bank / Part-time
Support a child to remain safe and comfortable at home overnight.
We are recruiting a dedicated Waking Night Healthcare Assistant to provide specialist support to a child with complex healthcare needs within their family home.
This role is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills while making a significant difference to a child and their family's quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Gastrostomy/Enteral Administration
- Medication Administration and Management
- Manual Handling
- Oral Suction
- Oxygen Administration
- Non-Invasive Ventilation
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 12 months' care experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Comfortable working waking night shifts.
- Reliable and professional approach to care.
- Driver with access to a vehicle, or ability to travel reliably using public transport.
Full client-specific training will be provided before working independently.
Desirable Experience
- Children's complex care.
- Epilepsy awareness.
- Basic Life Support.
- Medication administration.
- Moving and Handling.
- Gastrostomy care.
