So what is the role?
The Pre-Press Multi Skilled Worker is responsible to carry out tasks throughout the Pre-Press areas safely, to the highest quality level whilst achieving required productivity and production planning demands. Main operations include industrial cleaning and re assembly of printing press components, operation of the ink spot colours manufacturing machine and operation of the mounting machine.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring the cleaning equipment operates in accordance with all Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) requirements
Main cleaning tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Loading and unloading of heavy duty production parts into washing equipment.
- Maintain all parts in full working order.
- Reassemble production parts ready for use within the process.
- Cleanliness of printing cylinders and sundry items.
Ink spot colours manufacturing:
- Operating ink spot colours machine when required
- Meet supply chains demands for ink stock levels
- QC inks to ensure they are within the given specification
- Operation of mounting machine within the given production tolerances.
- Support the press team in wash-down and set-up phases.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the process.
- Ensure waste ink is labelled correctly and transported to waste store.
- Ensure all stock levels are available for relevant parties.
- Ensure printing cylinder inventory is updated and accurate at all times.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Drive company vehicles when needed.
- Carry out any other duties in line with business requirements.
- Deliver training, as required, to achieve a high level of competency.
What skills and qualifications will you need?
As the successful candidate for this role, you will demonstrate both excellent communication and time management skills, as well as showing a clear attention to detail. The successful candidate should also have either Labouring or Manufacturing experience, as well as having experience working within a Manual Handling Environment.

This role is primarily based on a day shift pattern, working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. The position offers a consistent work schedule that supports a healthy work-life balance while ensuring effective support for our operational requirements. Flexibility may occasionally be required to meet business needs.
As such, CCL Secure is an accredited Living Wage employer. The salary for this role will be up to £29,845 depending on relevant experience. In addition to this we offer performance related pay and quarterly performance bonus so the ability to directly affect your reward is entirely in your hands.
Additionally, you will be given 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
