We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to patients while working collaboratively with nurses, clinicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high standards of personal care and support to patients.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including washing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record patient observations, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Support patients with their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Promote dignity, privacy, and independence at all times.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Work in accordance with safeguarding policies and NHS standards.
- Assist clinical staff with patient care and ward duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months' NHS experience as a Healthcare Assistant within the last 2 years.
- Valid PMVA (Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression) certification.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
Desirable Requirements
- Care Certificate.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
- Experience working within acute, mental health, community, or specialist NHS settings.
- Knowledge of electronic patient record systems.
