Bohemia has a rare & exciting opportunity for a dynamic Head Pastry chef who is looking to take their career to the next level. Bohemia has been the leading gastronomic restaurant in Jersey for the past 22 years and has held a Michelin Star & Multi AA Rosettes for the past 21 years.
We are looking for either an experienced Head Pastry Chef and also able to discuss this amazing role with a current assistant pastry chef who is looking for their first opportunity to run their own team.
You must be a focused individual with high level experience. It is important that you hold an understanding for all pastry practices and innovative techniques and be currently working to the highest standards of a Rosette or Michelin starred Restaurant - be able to show a stable work history. Bohemia has welcomed and helped some stunning chefs over the years and offers amazing career opportunities.

You should have excellent communication skills with in-depth knowledge of several pastry & chocolate work methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
The Head Pastry Chef Role
-Outstanding attention for detail.
-To be fully aware of the Company's Food Policy and Food Handlers responsibilities in line with legislation and contractual obligations
-Must have a stable and progressive background in High level, Michelin restaurants or AA Rosettes and currently working as an assistant of head pastry chef with two years’ experience in a similar role or Snr CDP in an exceptional property.
-Capable of working within the pastry team of 3 chefs and assist in the running of the kitchen
-Confidence & helping the day to day operation of the kitchen when the Head Chef is away
-Have great communication and organizational skills;
-Have the ability to closely work with the management team;
- Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies.
-Provide support to junior pastry kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
-Recruit and train new pastry kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards. Develop & assist new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand.
-Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner.
-A team player who can coordinate with others, motivate the team and encourage other members of the chef brigade to excel.
